One response to “In Memoriam: Milton Friedman”

As a kid growing up in Australia I learnt from American GI’s a wonderfully expressive acronym: FUBAR … I’m sure some of you will recall what that meant at the time.

Seems to me the current dominant worldview of the West – Free Market Capitalism – is also totally FUBAR.

For 1,400 years the West was utterly enslaved to the geocentric Ptolemaic worldview & its sacred text, ‘The Almagest’; founded on an egregiously false premise & requiring ever more convoluted invocations of deferents, epicycles, equants, eccentrics & epitrochoids to maintain the general delusion. People were slaughtered, burnt alive, on suspicion of doubting the veracity of this monstrous lie.

For how long will we continue to be enslaved to the ‘Friedmanite’ worldview & its sacred text ‘Capitalism & Freedom’; founded on a fictive ’soukcentric’ absolutism & requiring ever more elaborate rationalizations to convince the increasingly desparate masses that that both wealth & freedom are trickling down upon them?
