On September 13th, Kanye West once again sated his addiction to making a fool of himself through outbursts on live programs. Remember his statement during a live benefit concert on NBC, next to a stunned Mike Myers, that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people”? This time, during the Video Music Awards, he grabbed the microphone from a shocked Taylor Swift, in order to tell everyone that Beyoncé, not Swift, should have won the award for Best Female Video. West was probably a little buzzed from his Hennessy-swigging on the red carpet before the show started, and it is certain that his storied ego was also hard at work. And though we at the Spectator love a funny drunk, we emphatically reject his very poor choice of forum. We therefore conclude that West’s behavior earns him a seat at the head table of the Losers. In considering the scholarship of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, we must also conclude that Kanye West is, without question, a gay fish.
